REFUND & CANCELLATION | SHIPPING & SUBSCRIPTION POLICY

This Refund, Cancellation, Shipping & Subscription Policy (“Policy”) forms an integral and binding part of the Terms & Conditions governing access to and use of the Edlas mobile application and website (“Platform”), operated by Edlas Private Limited, CIN U92419UP2023PTC176275 (“Edlas”, “Company”, “we”, “us”).

This Policy sets out the terms applicable to order fulfilment, logistics, cancellations, refunds, open-box delivery, subscription purchases, and grievance redressal mechanisms.

1. DEFINITIONS

For the purposes of this Policy:

“Order” means a purchase of stationery or allied products made through the Platform.

“Prepaid Order” means an Order paid electronically at the time of placement.

“COD Order” means an Order placed under a cash-on-delivery mode.

“Delivered” shall mean the physical tendering and acceptance of the Order following open-box inspection.

“Subscription” means any paid plan purchased by Teachers or Schools for premium access to Platform features.

2. SHIPPING, LOGISTICS & MARKETPLACE STRUCTURE

  • 2.1 Shipping Responsibility

    All logistics, fulfilment and shipping of Orders placed through the Platform are undertaken and managed solely by Edlas.

  • 2.2 Delivery Timelines

    Edlas endeavours, on a best-efforts basis, to deliver Orders on the next business day following confirmation. However, such timelines are indicative only and do not constitute a legally binding guarantee.

    Delivery schedules may be affected by operational constraints, force-majeure events, weather conditions, regulatory restrictions or logistical limitations. Any material delay shall be reflected within the User’s account or order-tracking interface on the Platform.

  • 2.3 Edlas-Owned Inventory

    All items available for purchase on the Edlas marketplace are sourced exclusively from Edlas-controlled inventory. No third-party sellers, vendors or marketplace merchants operate on the Platform.

  • 2.4 Right to Cancel by Edlas

    Edlas reserves the right, exercisable at its sole discretion and without prior notice, to cancel any Order, including where fulfilment becomes impracticable, inventory is unavailable, payment verification fails, pricing errors occur, or fraud is suspected.

3. ORDER CANCELLATION - PREPAID ORDERS

Users may cancel a Prepaid Order only prior to the Order status being updated as “Out for Delivery” within the Platform.

Upon successful cancellation:

  • The Order shall stand terminated; and no further obligations shall subsist except settlement of amounts lawfully due.
  • Refunds shall be processed exclusively to the original mode of payment; and
  • Completion shall ordinarily occur within seven (7) business days and are subject to payment-gateway processing timelines.

4. CASH-ON-DELIVERY (COD) ORDERS

No refunds shall apply to COD Orders, as payment is collected only upon delivery and acceptance.

5. OPEN-BOX DELIVERY, ACCEPTANCE & REFUSAL

All Orders are tendered on an open-box delivery basis.

Once accepted by the User at the time of delivery, the Order shall be deemed final and irrevocable, and no return, refund or exchange shall be permitted.

Where the User refuses delivery due to an observable issue:

  • The User must register the concern via the “Need Help” or support feature linked to the Order; and
  • For Prepaid Orders so refused, Edlas shall initiate a refund to the original payment method within seven (7) business days, subject to verification.

6. SUBSCRIPTIONS – NON-REFUNDABLE & NON-CANCELLABLE

All Subscription plans offered through the Platform are:

  • Non-auto-renewing;
  • Non-cancellable after activation;
  • Non-refundable, except where access to the subscribed services is not provided due to reasons attributable to Edlas.

Users acknowledge that they have reviewed and accepted the plan details prior to purchase.

7. MODE OF REFUNDS

All refunds shall be issued only to the original payment instrument used for the relevant transaction.

Edlas shall not be liable for delays caused by banks, payment processors or financial intermediaries.

8. FRAUD PREVENTION & PLATFORM ENFORCEMENT

Edlas reserves the right to deny refunds, suspend accounts, or cancel Orders where it reasonably believes that any activity constitutes misuse, misrepresentation, fraudulent conduct or breach of the Terms & Conditions or applicable law.

9. GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL & DISPUTE COMMUNICATION

Edlas shall endeavour to respond within commercially reasonable timelines in accordance with applicable consumer-protection regulations.

10. AMENDMENT OF POLICY

Edlas may modify this Policy at any time. Continued use of the Platform following publication of revised terms shall constitute acceptance thereof.

11. GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION

This Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Courts at Farrukhabad, Uttar Pradesh shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory statutory dispute-resolution requirements.
